Where do I find my credit on my Orange & Rockland bill?

Last updated 2025-08-12 · View original

If you're enrolled on a consolidated billing project, meaning you do not receive a bill from Solstice, please see this separate article for more information about locating your credit.

Soon after your share of a community solar farm begins producing energy, you begin receiving solar credits on your monthly O&R electric bills. Each credit is applied as a deduction, which helps you save on your electric costs!

You'll find the total credit applied as a negative dollar amount in the section titled "Your Bill Breakdown" at the top of your bill. It will be listed as an adjustment, as shown highlighted in the example bill below.

More details about your community solar credit can be found in the section of your bill titled "Your Electric Breakdown," as shown in the example below.

Details of each line are as follows:

  • "Current Billed kWh" is the full generated amount applied to the current bill.
  • "Prior Bank Balance" is excess solar generation carried over from previous months.
  • "Current Month kWh Allocation" is what your share of the solar farm generated for the current bill period.
  • "Total Bank Balance" is the remaining excess solar generation available to be applied to future bills.
  • "Total Applied Credit" is the total generated amount applied to the current bill as a negative dollar value.

About 1-2 months after each community solar credit has been applied to your O&R bills, Solstice will email you an invoice. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at support@solstice.us or 845-853-0768.
