This is a common question that we get from customers residing in a township that has offered their residents an opportunity to work with a Community Choice Aggregator (CCA). The short answer is yes, you can opt into a CCA and be a Solstice subscriber!
The choice to participate in a CCA or not comes down to the benefits that it can provide you, and if they outweigh the benefits of another supplier like your utility company. CCAs can offer different energy rates than a utility provider and often have packages that also include a green energy supply. If you have questions about the benefits of a specific CCA, we recommend you refer to their website, or give them a call directly.
If you choose to opt in to a CCA, they will become your main energy supplier. You will continue to see Solstice credits documented on your electricity bill, and the credits will be calculated based on the CCA's rate per kWh. Your Solstice discount rate will remain exactly as it was outlined in your contract originally!
