Where do I find my credit on my RG&E bill?

Last updated 2025-08-28 · View original

Soon after your share of a community solar farm begins producing energy, you begin receiving solar credits on your monthly RG&E electric bills.

Each credit is applied as a deduction, which helps you save on your electric costs! Though we aim to cover as much of your typical annual electric cost as possible, your monthly credit may not always fully cover what you owe to your utility.

On your RG&E bill, you'll find your community solar information in your account activity listed as a CDG generation. You'll see the generation period end date, the amount of solar energy in kWh carried over from previous months (if applicable), the current month's generation, the amount applied to the current bill, and the amount that will be carried forward to your future bills (if applicable).

The dollar value of your credit is based on the CDG generation applied. It's listed as CDG generation credit and split between the Electricity Delivery Charges and Electricity Supply Charges sections of your bill.
