Every community solar farm provides a guaranteed, fixed discount to subscribers on all solar credits from their share. However, solar credits don’t always cover all your costs, so 20% off your credits might equate to more like 15% off your whole bill in a given month. Some projects also provide higher discounts to income-qualified customers. We’ll match you to the best available discount that you qualify for!

Cancellation terms
Cancel anytime without fees. It may take 1-3 billing cycles for your utility provider to remove you from your solar farm, so you will be charged for any discounted solar credits you've received before that time.
Moving homes?
Congrats! If Solstice community solar is available near your new home, you can take your subscription with you. Otherwise, you can cancel without fees.
Billing type
Dual billing
This means you'll receive your electric bill each month with solar credits applied, along with a separate invoice from Solstice charging you for your credits (at your fixed discount). Combined, these charges will always be lower than your normal electric bill without community solar.

Frequently asked questions
How does billing work?
Your business will continue receiving electricity from its utility provider. Your project may use Utility Consolidated Billing, in which case you will receive savings directly from your utility, or Dual Billing, in which case you’ll receive solar credits on your utility bill and be charged separately by Solstice for those credits at a discount. Either way, your monthly savings are identical. Contact our sales team with any more questions about how you’ll receive your savings.
What happens if my business moves locations?
Community solar subscriptions are flexible. If your business relocates within the same utility service area or another area served by Solstice, your subscription can transfer to the new location. If you move outside Solstice’s service area, Solstice will close out your subscription.
Is my business eligible for community solar?
Most businesses that receive electricity from a participating utility in a state with community solar (such as NY, IL, MA, MN, NJ, or NM) are eligible. There are no credit score requirements, and enrollment is flexible. Contact Solstice to confirm eligibility and available solar projects in your area.
How much can my business save?
Your discount rate depends on state incentives and which solar farms Solstice has available. Businesses should expect to save between 5-15% on their electricity costs. Get in touch and we’ll provide a customized savings estimate based on your business’s energy usage and location!
