Am I Eligible For Rooftop Solar?

May 8, 2022

To get rooftop solar, you’ll have to check off a few boxes. First, you’ll need to own your home. You’ll also need a suitable roof for solar, meaning it faces the right direction and isn’t shaded by obstacles like trees or other buildings. Lastly, you’ll need a good credit score (usually above 680) and enough savings to handle the upfront cost of installation. If you’ve got these things covered, rooftop solar might be for you! However, if you’re like the 80% of Americans that don’t meet all of these criteria, community solar is the best option for you.
