Solstice partners with Rock Steady Farm and Flowers in Millerton, New York to provide clean energy and electric bill savings to the farm and its CSA members. For each Rock Steady customer and CSA member who signs up for a share of their local solar farm, Solstice donates $200 to Rock Steady’s Food Access Fund. Donations to the Food Access Fund provide no-cost or subsidized produce to low-income community members, with a focus on communities of color, LGBTQAI+ folks, seniors, families with young children, and/or people living with serious health concerns (such as HIV/Aids, diabetes and cancer).
“Partnering with Solstice has helped us fulfill our mission of providing no-cost or subsidized produce to low-income community members, who are typically shut out of the local food movement,” said Hannah Williams, CSA Coordinator at Rock Steady Farm and Flowers. “We’re grateful to help connect people to clean energy from their local solar operation while supplementing our Food Access Fund. It’s definitely win-win!”
