As community solar opportunities expand in Massachusetts and around the country, more Americans are taking ownership of their ability to choose their energy source and reaping the benefits of local clean energy. Real Estate Boston by Boston Globe Media spoke to Solstice team member Scott Becker and EnergySage CEO Vikram Aggarwal about how community solar works and why localized power is important.

“The big thing here is there’s no risk of ever paying extra,” said Scott about community solar. “In the worst-case scenario of a meteor striking your solar farm, your solar share would stop producing energy, and you’d go back to paying the electric bills you were already paying in the first place.”
