Solstice and its sister company, Energy Allies, have endorsed the NAACP‘s new set of equitable solar policy principles. The principles come from the NAACP’s Solar Equity Initiative, a group started in 2018 with the intent of connecting communities of color to the benefits of solar energy — from lower electricity costs, job creation, improved air quality, and more. The principles themselves function as a way for policymakers and advocates to create solar initiatives that benefit communities that could use them the most.
