Nope! Community solar allows you to connect to a solar farm built in Illinois. You don’t need to put anything on your home. You don’t even need to own your home. All you need is to connect your electric bill to the solar farm online through Solstice.
Will I still get reliable electricity every month?
Yes! Joining community solar does not change the way you get electricity. Your utility company, Ameren, will still deliver power to your home exactly the way it does right now. But you will be supporting more clean energy in Ameren’s grid.
