  • Title: Program Manager
  • Compensation: Commensurate with experience
  • Location: Cambridge, MA
  • Position overview: One major challenge to widespread adoption of community solar is that those with lower credit scores, who often belong to the low- to moderate-income (LMI) demographic, are locked out of the community solar market.  Solstice recently received a grant from the Department of Energy’s SunShot Initiative to tackle this problem head-on.  We aim to do so by (i) leveraging existing data sets to better understand where there is additional financial risk in selling to LMI households / households with poor credit, or there is no additional risk in selling to these households; (ii) creating an alternative qualifying metric for solar projects based on this information; and (iii) undertaking demonstration projects serving LMI households based on new qualification metrics. Solstice is seeking a Program Manager to coordinate, manage, and oversee all aspects of this project. This position will report to the President.
  • Qualifications:
    • 3+ years of grant / program management experience (federal grant management experience a plus)
    • Professional experience with start-up organizations and/or clean energy and/or social enterprises
    • Background in computer science, mathematics, statistics, economics, and/or other relevant field
