The Village of Kildeer wanted to give its 1,200 residents a renewable energy option for their electricity without compromising the town’s appearance and policies that prevented rooftop solar installations in Kildeer. The town partnered with Solstice to run a three-month campaign to educate residents on community solar and help them enroll in the program. Their community members successfully enrolled in over 600kw worth of solar, with an estimated total annual savings of more than $22,000, and an additional $6,900 in funds raised for the Village.
